Filip Peeters is more than just an inspiration; he is a man of many talents who blends his passion for cooking and acting into a unique culinary journey. Before entering the world of theatre and film, Filip worked behind the stove at the two-star restaurant "Barbizon" in Overijse.
His culinary journey began with a diploma as a restaurant owner and a specialization in pastry, but he soon turned his attention to the stage and the camera.
However, during the Corona lockdown a new chapter opened in the life of Filip Peeters. He began making Tarte Tatins, upside-down apple tarts, which from his home kitchen soon made their way to family, friends and eventually to restaurants and caterers. What started as a creative pastime quickly became a commercial success, and Filip had to look for a producer to meet the growing demand.
That is how he got in touch with Dirk from Didess, and together they launched four delicious Tarte Tatins, from the classic apple and lime to the surprising silver onions with thyme. But Filip did not stop there. With his project "Les vianderies folles" he also developed unique charcuterie, with respect for the animal and artisanal flavour at its heart. This led to the very first pâté from Les Soeurs Miller, thanks to a pig from the Le Devant farm in Bourg-en-Bresse.
But what does Les Soeurs Miller actually mean? For Filip Peeters it stands for love, passion and authenticity in every preparation. They are the most important women in his life — his wife An Miller and their two daughters Louisa and Leonce — who inspire his dishes and form the soul of his culinary adventure.
Filip's passion for cooking is evident in every dish he creates. Using seasonal, local and sustainable ingredients, he strives to capture the essence of flavour. His culinary creations are moments of pure happiness, and he loves to share them with others. For Filip Peeters, food is more than nourishment; it is a way to bring people together and create moments of joy.
